There’s been a fair amount of talk lately about cloud computing, and how it might fit with health information technology. Some businesses are shifting from storing data in hard disks to using remote servers (in the clouds, hence the name). Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak recently appeared at a Washington event and, during a question-and-answer segment with the audience, delivered a sobering forecast for cloud computing.
“I really worry about everything going to the cloud,” said Wozniak, who was talking about cloud computing overall, not its application in any specific industry. “I think it’s going to be horrendous. I think there are going to be a lot of horrible problems in the next five years.”
