How to read and reuse material published here.

Purpose of this site

AAMIBlog exists to explain healthcare technology safety and management in language a busy professional can read quickly. Nothing here is a substitute for the standards, manufacturer instructions, local policy or professional judgement that govern your work.

How to read the material

Treat every article as general education, not as a procedure to follow.
Check the current edition of any standard or regulation before relying on it.
Follow your own organisation's policy where it differs from what you read.
Escalate anything safety-critical through your normal clinical governance route.

Reuse of material

You may quote short extracts with a clear credit and a link back to the original page. Republishing a whole article, or presenting it as your own, is not permitted. Write to the editorial desk for anything beyond brief quotation.

No third-party links

This site deliberately carries no outbound promotional links. Where a primary source matters, we describe what to look for and where the responsible body publishes it, so that you can find the current version yourself.
